8 Nursing Homes In Same State Fined For Neglect And Abuse Towards Residents

One state has eight different nursing homes being fined for negligence in caregiving. The neglected residents in these homes experienced levels of suffering that ranged from medication omission, burns, head wounds, bowel obstruction, and death.

The residents were either unattended during falls, or specific instructions for patients were not followed by nursing home caregivers.  One resident was withheld necessary medication causing a 9 pound gain of fluid in just 11 days.
