93-Year-Old Nursing Home Resident Dies After Hours Of Neglect Outside In The Heat

A nursing home is under investigation regarding the death of a 93-year-old resident. He was left out in the sun without being checked for 3 hours and 45 minutes. His external body temperature was 104.4 and he had second and third degree burns. Medical examiners say the heat was a factor in his death.

A nurse with a sister facility is speaking out about care giving concerns.  She says care declined over the past 6 years as budget have been cut. The family is also speaking out saying it was not his time to go yet. For more, read the story.
