97-Year-Old Dies After Waiting Days for Treatment

An elderly female was forced to wait days for stitches while doctors argued over who was responsible for her care. Medics at the medical centre also failed to notice that she had previously broken her knee in a fall.

The patient was discovered on the floor by a janitorial cleaner on a ward that was short staffed. The cleaner took photos of the patient that revealed two black eyes and a bandaged head which was not treated until days later.

The great-grandmother looked as though she had been beaten and obviously suffered a death that was slow and painful. A report revealed that her cause of death was related to congestive cardiac failure and the fracture to her leg. For more, read the story.
