Assisted Living Facility Resident Celebrates 107th Birthday

A woman living in a Florida assisted living facility celebrated her 107th birthday last month. The woman has lived at the assisted living facility for about three years after it became hard for her to climb the steps at her condo.

Her son, 76, was at the facility to help her celebrate. He commented that his mother was an active leader in the community and an accomplished seamstress who made 75 percent of her own clothes before she developed arthritis. She also sang in her church choir for many years. The woman's son said they looked at twenty-three long term care facilities before finding the right home for his mother. She has been very happy and remains active in community events. For more, read the story.
