Assisted Living Owner Guilty Of Neglect After Resident Falls Through Floor

A former assisted living center owner pled guilty to neglect of a vulnerable adult resulting in physical injury. Last year, an 84-year-old Alzheimer’s patient fell through the floor of a room into the floor below suffering broken bones and a severe head injury.

The facility owner initially denied knowing how the woman was injured. He later admitted that he panicked after she fell. He faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. For more, read the story.
