Assisted Living Resident Killed By Nurse's Aide After Resident Caught Aide Stealing

According to police, a nurse's aide has killed an 82-year-old woman living in a an assisted living home a day after the woman accused the aide of forging her checks.

Police have confirmed that four of  the elderly women's checks worth $1,200 were made out to the 30-year-old aide. She was charged last week with forgery and murder. A spokesman for the assisted living facility said the aide passed a background check and received good reviews since she was hired in July.

The elderly women's sister says her she was so badly beaten they had to leave the casket closed at her funeral. She says her sister had bruises on her arms where she tried to protect herself. For more, read the story.
