Autopsy Revealed That Nursing Home Resident's Death Was Due To Assault

Autopsy results have revealed that an 86-year-old nursing home resident's death was caused by brain injuries due to an assault, according to officials.  The elderly woman who died Thursday in the hospital was said to have fallen at the nursing home, but an autopsy revealed her injuries were likely due to an assault not a fall, according to the medical examiner's office.

The facility administrator commented that they had not yet been contacted by Police regarding the resident's death.  He also said officials will review any kind of evidence, but he had no other further details about the incident.Police are investigating the incident. For more, read the story.
