Charges Filed Against Six Nursing Home Employees Involved in Resident Abuse

Six employees at a nursing home are facing charges in connection with the reported abuse of an adult resident that was caught on camera. The victim of the abuse is male dementia patient at the facility. According to court records, the employees treated the patient roughly and hit the patient.

One incident caught on tape revealed the employees roll the patient violently, causing him to strike his head on the bed rail. The staff also allegedly hit the patient when he would not roll over in his bed. Four employees were arrested Monday on felony battery and neglect charges. Two others have been charged with failure to report abuse of an endangered adult, a misdemeanor. For more, read the story.
