Charges Pending for Nursing Home Staff that Abused Patients

Employees of a nursing home abused patients by restraining them with sheets, throwing water on them, financial exploitation, cruelty, neglect and striking patients. Some of the abused residents were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

The investigation also revealed that the abusing staff members also had been convicted of felony charges including involuntary manslaughter and identity theft.

The owner of the nursing home is also facing criminal charges for her role in the abuse. The employees face up to 70 charges of abuse and neglect of the elderly. Some of the suspects have been arrested but the owner is nowhere to be found.  For more, read the story.
