Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against Nursing Home In Large Hepatitis C Outbreak

A class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of nursing home patients in a nursing home. The lawsuit involves what is believed to be the third largest Hepatitis C outbreak in the nation. “It’s certainly one of the largest ever,” said one of the attorneys representing the case, when the class action motion was announced. “It’s very, very unusual for an outbreak to be this large.”

The nursing home is not accepting blame. Meanwhile, attorneys are hoping for a fast resolution to provide financial support to pay medical bills. The patients are at risk of liver damage, which can be severe and fatal. For more, read the story.
