CNA Arrested For Nursing Home Abuse, Punching and Cursing Patient

A former nursing home caregiver has been terminated and charged with two counts of patient abuse for punching a 72-year-old patient in the face, neck, and chest. The certified nursing assistant also cursed the woman while punching her. The incident was reported by a fellow staff member to the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.

The unit started an investigation upon receiving the tip and found that the patient was sent to the hospital for her injuries sustained. An arrest warrant was issued shortly after the investigation ensued due to the physical and emotional trauma the CNA inflicted on her patient. For more, read the story.
