Elderly Dementia Patient Found Dead After Slipping Away from Nursing Home

An elderly nursing home man's body was discovered in a ravine this week after a day of searching. The 75-year-old man's body was found before 9:00 p.m. behind a home.

The man had vanished from the nursing home where he lived late Sunday morning. Concerns over the man's Alzheimer's disease and the 100-degree heat prompted an immediate search. According to the man's son, his father wore an ankle monitor which should have alerted nursing home staff if he leaves the building. For more, read the story.
