Elderly Man Arrested After Wife Found Shot Dead in Nursing Home

An 88-year-old man was arrested after police said he shot and killed his wife, 86, in her room at a nursing home on Sunday afternoon. The Police Sergeant said officers responded to shots fired at the nursing home at 12:07 p.m.The woman's husband was arrested on suspicion of shooting his wife to death.

Officers found the woman dead in her room from a single gunshot wound to the head. They had responded just three minutes after the call. Her husband was sitting in the room and was taken into custody. A revolver and was recovered by police at the scene. For more, read the story.
