Sheriff's in one state have been notifying the community of an 82-year-old dementia patient who was able to walk out of his doctor's office following a check-up. The elderly man was supposed to be waiting in the lobby for a transport service to return him to his care facility.

On Tuesday morning police released a photo of the man leaving the facility at 2:58 p.m. the previous day.
