Elderly Woman Receives Mystery Head and Face Injury in Nursing Home

Police have launched an investigation into a nursing home after relatives of a patient say their 88-year-old loved one received a large gash on her forehead that turned much of her face black and blue. Last week, a nurse discovered the woman with the injury to her face.

The woman was sent to the hospital for treatment. There, doctors said that it was like somebody had dropped her from six feer off the ground or had hit her with blunt force to the face. The woman is now in a coma. Relatives say the nursing home administrator told them a door may have hit the woman in the face. The paramedics who responded to the scene called police to report the suspicious injury. Police are currently investigating the origin of the woman's injury. For more, read the story.
