Fifth Graders Remember Nursing Home Residents At Christmas With Gifts and Carols

A fifth grade class remembered nursing home residents that may not receive other visits this holiday season. They brought each resident at a nursing home a gift and sang them Christmas carols. The tradition has been alive for many years.

The young students understood the meaning behind their giving back. "The people that don't have family to come and they don't get gifts over Christmas," said a student. "It's just a better thing so they can get a gift over Christmas and they can hear us caroling."  For more, read the story.
