Legionnaire's Disease Cases In Nursing Home Patients Lead To Water Shutdown

Three nursing home patients tested positive for Legionnaire’s disease. The disease is transmitted by water sources. Consequently, the nursing home had to turn off the water to the facility and bring bottled water to use.

The water was tested for contamination and reinstated at the facility in segments throughout the building. The nursing home is also installing special micron filters to fight future bacteria transmission through the water lines. For more, read the story.
