Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Pointing a Loaded Gun at His Wife at Nursing Home

A man has been charged with attempted murder for pointing a loaded gun at his wife’s head as she slept in her nursing home bed last week. According to the criminal complaint the man hid a Magnum revolver wrapped in a bag when he carried it into the nursing home. The man then entered his wife's room, pointed the gun at her head and cocked the revolver.

When the 52,-year-old man cocked the gun, his wife awoke. Not wanting to shoot his wife while she was awake, the man did not pull the trigger. According to the complaint, the woman was able to leave the room unharmed and get help.

The man is being charged with attempted murder and terrorizing and carrying a concealed weapon. Additionally, the man faces three charges of reckless endangerment for pointing his gun at police who arrived to arrest him. Bond was set at $75,000. For more, read the story.
