Man Sent to Jail for Fondling Elderly Nursing Home Resident

A man who sexually assaulted a comatose woman in a nursing facility was sentenced this week to one year in Jail. The 49-year-old man pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and being a four-time habitual felony offender.

The man was visiting another patient in the nursing home in April when he closed the privacy curtains around an incapacitated 65-year-old woman and fondled her, according to police. He had been released from probation just eight months earlier for prior convictions, including a sex crime. The man will also remain on probation for three years after his jail term.
