Man Sues Nursing Home After Discovering Photos of His Dying Father Posted on the Internet

The son of an elderly man who died in a nursing home has sued the facility after he found photos of his dying father posted on Craigslist with insulting remarks. The family has made claims for invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and punitive damages for violating the Nursing Home Care Act.

The family's complaint alleges that the nursing home denied the patient the right to peace and solace during the dying process and caused them irreparable emotional harm The nursing home responded by claiming they have no knowledge of photos being taken of the man.
