Murder-Suicide at Assisted Living Facility

A couple was discovered dead from apparent gunshot wounds to the head at an assisted living facility. The husband had recently placed his wife there because he was no longer physically able to care for her. He had also shared concerns about making the decision to have his wife reside there.

As he had done every day since his wife was admitted, he visited his wife at the facility and they had breakfast together. When a staff member entered the resident’s room to administer medication, she found both victims dead with a gun lying nearby.

The reasons behind the tragedy are unknown and took everyone by surprise. No one noticed anything out of the ordinary prior to the shooting. Police were called to the scene to investigate the incident and family members were notified. For more, read the story.
