Nurse's Assistant Caught Smothering 81-Year-Old Nursing Home Resident

Police have confirmed a startling incident of nursing home abuse. According to police, a male nurse’s assistant is accused of holding a pillow over the face of a 81-year old female nursing home resident in the early morning hours.

A co-worker heard the elderly woman shout from outside the room. When she opened the door she witnessed the employee holding the pillow over the woman's face. The suspect, after realizing he was being watched, threw the pillow to the headboard. A nursing supervisor who was advised of the incident then called the Sheriff’s Office.
