Nursing Home Abuse Case Puts Administrator In Jail For 20 Years

Lawyers, an investigator and a paralegal were congratulated and awarded for successfully working through the litigation process to win a case. The case poses a victory for victims of abuse in nursing homes. A nursing home administrator was found guilty for years of abuse and neglect.

In addition to nursing home abuse and neglect the administrator billed for more than $32.9 million in Medicare and Medicaid. However, the funds did not go to help patients, as conditions were worse than prison per the judge residing on the case. The administrator was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
