Nursing Home Abuse Lawsuit Awarded $1.2 Million In Damages

A family was awarded $1.2 million in damages due to the abuse of a loved one in a nursing home.    The patient was 96 years old.  Family members were concerned about missing items and installed a camera to identify a potential thief. Instead, the family caught more than stealing on camera.

A nursing home worker was caught slapping the patient in the face while another worker just stood by.  The workers were fired, but the case is under appeal by the defense attorney for the nursing home.  For more, read the story.
