Nursing Home Aide Faces Charges For Injuring 100 Year Old Patient

A nursing home aide has been charged with injuring a 100-year-old patient after moving her into a wheelchair without assistance. The nursing home aide was supposed to ask for assistance before moving the patient due to her fragility. Upon moving her to the wheelchair, the patient fell out of the wheelchair and allegedly hit her head.

It was not until the patient fell that the aide requested assistance to put her back in the bed. The aide then wiped blood from her forehead without requesting medical attention for the fall. She was released from her position and is not facing criminal charges from the State Attorney General's Office for abuse and neglect. For more, read the story.
