Nursing Home Allegedly Failed To Report Abuse

A nursing home is under state investigation after alleged reports that nursing home abuse went unreported. Multiple complaints of abuse and neglect included broken bones, skin tears, verbal abuse and physical abuse. Current employees who are not involved in the accusations have doubts about the facility and were willing to comment.

“I don’t trust the place,” one nurse’s aide said. “I have a really, really hard time about that. I don’t trust with all the complaints and things that have happened, I don’t trust that if something happened that it’s going to be handled properly.”

“When it comes down to everything else, it’s not about anything else but the residents,” the aide continued. “It’s about taking care of them, and that’s why we’re here, that’s what it’s all about, and it doesn’t feel that way; it doesn’t feel like that anymore.” For more, read the story.
