Nursing Home Attempted Murder Suicide Leaves Elderly Woman in Critical Condition

An elderly man is dead and his wife is fighting for her life, after an attempted nursing home murder-suicide. Wednesday afternoon the 75-year-old was visiting his wife at the nursing home where she was a patient when he shot her and then turned the gun on himself.

The man was dead when police arrived. The woman remains in critical condition after being taken to a nearby hospital.  A neighbor who lived next to the man told investigators that the man's wife moved to the nursing after a recent fall outside her home. For more, read the story.
