Nursing homes are encouraged to be more aware with breathing tubes in their patients. Tubes can easily be moved or knocked by patient’s or staff. Unfortunately there are times where incidents with feeding tubes are intentional when caregivers are abusive and clog the breathing tube.

But in the cases where accidents occur, caregivers should monitor more closely.
