Nursing Home Burn Incident Reveals That Resident Has Assaulted 23 Other Residents

The family of a mentally impaired nursing home resident is suing the facility, alleging it failed to prevent abuse at its facility. According to the lawsuit, in last September, another resident allegedly burned the man with a cigarette. The incident did not result in a serious injury, wasn’t severely hurt.

However, after looking through state records, the attorney for the family discovered that the resident involved had sexually, physically or verbally assaulted nearly 24 residents at the facility.
