Nursing Home Compared to Concentration Camp

Relatives say that due to lack of training and staff in nursing homes, their loved ones died unnecessarily and were in significant pain. Other complaints of patient neglect range from poor diet, untreated injuries, being left in unsanitary conditions as well as physical and verbal abuse.

Staff stated that some of the residents complained because they were spoiled and just seeking attention although former staff members and families confess that there was abuse going on in the nursing home.

Families of patients say they after they filed complaints, very little change occurred and some experienced retaliation, some were threatened with defamation suits, and others were bullied by the nursing home. For more, read the story.
