Nursing Home Employee Charged With Abuse of Elderly Woman

A man is facing criminal charges after he became violent with an elderly nursing home patient he was supposed to be caring for. According to officials,  the man mistreated an 83-year-old woman at a nursing home when he threw a cup, napkins, and food at the resident knocking her plate of food onto her lap. After causing the resident to drop her meal, the employee jerked the woman in her wheelchair so hard that her head cocked back as he wheeled her from the room. Finally, the employee injured the resident's knees when he slammed her into the door to an area he was trying to enter.

The entire incident was caught on a surveillance camera that was recording the dining room area. The aide admitted to officials that he was angry with the resident and he could not control himself. The nursing home has fired the employee. The employee will appear back in court in April. For more, read the story. For more, read the story.
