Nursing Home Has License Revoked Due To Lack Of Bed Sore Prevention And Care

Patients in one particular nursing home have had repeated reports of bed sores and sepsis. The level of concern for patients in that home led to strict actions. The nursing home is the only one of 475 homes located in its particular state that has had its license revoked for perpetual violations.

Nursing homes must be aggressive in preventing bed sores by moving the patients who often lack the strength to move themselves. Bed sores can also lead to sepsis which can shut down vital organs as the body works to fight the infection coming from the bed sores.
