Nursing Home Hosts Art Show to Showcase Resident's Art

Barbara Blume’s room at her Nursing and Rehabilitation Community is filled with watercolor floral paintings she has created over more than seven decades as an artist. This month, the rest of the residents, staff and the public will be able to enjoy her talent as well.

The staff at the facility has arranged a show of Blume’s work at the nursing center. A gallery will be set up in the main hallway of the center on Saturday through the end of the month.

The public can view the paintings and a “Meet the Artist” reception is also being held. 4. Blume is excited as this will be her second art show. She said she hasn’t painted since she moved into the facility, but still has all of her paint supplies and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of painting again some day. For more, read the story.
