Nursing Home LPN Charged With Theft From Patients

A nursing home employee has been charged with stealing narcotics from the facility.  The nurse allegedly stole from one patient and is attempted to steal from another patient. The case is being prosecuted by the attorney general’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.

The attorney general wants to crack down hard on the theft and abuse of taking a vulnerable patient’s prescription medication.  “My office will not tolerate a nurse taking advantage of a nursing home resident under her care,” said the attorney general on the case. “I appreciate the collaboration of citizens and the police in bringing this case to the attention of my office.” For more, read the story.
