Nursing Home Medication Errors Lead To Hospitalization, Amputation, Death

A nursing home is receiving focus for its negligence with medication errors. Since 2011, there have been 384 recorded errors. The medication neglect has led to low blood sugar, hospitalization, amputation, and death.

One resident suffering with cancer found a drug that was treating his cancer well. Months after going downhill, the family found the facility had not treated him with his cancer medication for almost an entire year. The facility says it is just going to be used a way to better its care and treatment. The family settled with the home for an undisclosed amount. For more, read the story.
