Nursing Home Receives Fines of $185,000 For Abuse And Neglect Violations

A nursing home has been fined $185,000 for abuse and neglect that took place at the facility. The fines were set at $8,200 per day for a three week period and $1,000 per day after that until the home meets compliance.

The state department for Aging and Disability Services interviewed 27 of the 63 residents to confirm allegations of abuse and neglect. The interviews revealed that individuals suffered verbal and physical abuse from at least four staff members. For more, read the story.
