Nursing Home Resident Falls to His Death in Employee Stairwell

Police are investigating the death of a nursing home resident after he fell down a staircase last Sunday morning. According to police, the victim was in a wheelchair when he accessed a stairwell and plummeted to his death. According to a frequent visitor of the facility, the doors that lead to the staircases are supposed to remain locked.

Employees have a passcode to open the doors and it is possible that an employee left the doors open. At this time, police say they don't suspect any criminality and believe the incident was an accident. For more, read the story.
