Nursing Home Resident Shot in Parking Lot Victim of Murder/Suicide

Police have determined that an elderly woman shot in the parking lot of a nursing home was the victim of a murder/suicide. The 82-year-old was a resident at the facility. Police found her last week in a wheelchair behind a parked care at the rear of the facility.

According to the coroner, the elderly woman died of a single gunshot wound, with the cause of death ruled homicide. A short time later the woman's husband was found dead inside his vehicle not far from the facility. His death was ruled  suicide. For more, read the story.
