Nursing Home Residents Get Trip to Disney World

Residents of one nursing home made a special trip last week to to relive their childhood at Walt Disney World.  The residents were part of a larger group to make the journey. A total of 22 residents and 30 caregivers made the trip from Kentucky and Tennessee nursing homes on board a charter bus.

The nursing homes held fundraising events throughout the year to cover the $30,000 cost of trip. After the trip, one resident said that it was the best experience of her life. The organizer of the trip also said that it was one of the highlights of her career to see the nursing home residents so happy. For more, read the story.
