Nursing home residents can use the internet for mental rehabilitation, not just walkers and wheelchairs. One man learned how to use the internet after his stroke.
Now he listens to music, checks sports scores, and emails his war buddies. "To me it's important to keep my mind active, cause my body can't be active."
Physical therapists at the nursing home say they use the games to help during therapy. They say residents don't mind standing and exercising if they can play an internet game. For more about this unique therapy, see the article.
