Nursing Home Under Investigation For Delaying Sexual Abuse Report To Families

A nursing home is under investigation for delaying the distribution of information to indviduals whose family members were sexually abused in their rooms at the facility. Families do not understand the reason for the delay of an entire week. The abuse happened on several occasions when a male resident groped three different women.

“We trusted them with the precious thing we have, our mother, and we trusted them to take care of her and they did not,” said a man who did not want to be identified. A granddaughter of one of the abused also shared, "We trust them with her care. If something like that happened we would want to know that moment. We would want to be there for her also, to go and comfort her and be there for her and we weren't given that opportunity." Police will complete the investigation and then turn in a report to the district attorney's office. For more, read the story
