Nursing Home Worker Convicted of Stealing Pain Medication Patches Makes Plea Bargain

A nursing home worker admitted to stealing pain medication patches in a plea deal after he was accused. Medicine inventories showed discrepancies, leading to an investigation of employees. The young man admitted to taking a drug patch for himself on two separate occasions when administering drugs to patients.

The man was sentenced to complete substance abuse treatment and 1 year of jail time, 6 months for each offense, to be implemented if he had any future convictions. He is also convicted of owing $1,600. For more, read the story.
