POA Sues Nursing Home, Claiming Negligence

Power of Attorney (POA) is seeking compensatory and punitive damages from a nursing home that he alleges caused injuries to a resident of the defendants’ nursing facility. The POA claims the defendants are responsible and failed to provide the necessary amount of fluid to the resident so as to prevent dehydration and they also failed to implement a plan of care.

He alleges, the nursing facility failed to provide the resident with the necessary catheter and personal care to reduce her risk for infections, which resulted in her suffering from urinary tract infections.

According to the suit, as a result of the negligence by the nursing facility, the resident sustained bodily injuries, that resulted in pain and suffering; mental anguish; physical impairment; and medical expenses. For more, read the story.
