Retirement Center Staff Steals Medication from Patient

An employee of a retirement community was arrested for stealing medication from the facility where she worked. The employee admitted to police that she stole the drugs from a resident but she was forced to do it by her boyfriend.

The theft was discovered when she was stopped by police for improper driving. Initially she told the officer that earlier in the day she had taken drugs related to a heroin addiction but later stated that she had consumed some drugs before leaving work.

Upon search of her vehicle, police found other drugs not prescribed to her. In addition to medication, a purse with jewelry was found in the vehicle. She is facing multiple counts including theft and driving under the influence. For more, read the story.
