Senior Care Center Resident Sexually Assualted by Man Who Entered Through Unlocked Window

Police are investigating  an attack which occurred last weekend to an 86-year-old woman as she slept in her bed at the senior center where she lived. Around 4 a.m. Saturday police say a man crawled through an unlocked first-floor window, and then both physically and sexually assaulted the female resident.

This is the second middle-of-the-night attack on an older woman in her bedroom in this same neighborhood in the past two months. Police say on June 19 at 3:20 a.m., a 68-year-old woman was attacked in the bedroom of her townhouse directly across the street from the senior center targeted last weekend.

Police say they want to get the word out. "There are many senior residents in this area and we want to make sure that they are locking their doors and windows." For more, read the story.
