Three Arrests Made In Connection with Nursing Home Abuse Caught on Tape

Police arrested two additional care workers and have charged them with the abuse of an elderly dementia patient at a nursing home facility, police said.

Both of the employees are charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, criminal conspiracy, harassment, neglect of a care-dependent person and other related crimes. The two worked at the facility and allegedly taunted and physically abused a 78-year-old woman, suffering from dementia.

Earlier last week,  another employee was arrested and charged in the case. The elderly resident asked her family "why do they keep picking on me?"  the lead the family who suspected abuse at the facility to install a hidden camera, according to court documents. The victim is now living with her family. For more, read the story.
