Traffic Stop Leads Police to Discovery of Nursing Home Theft

A traffic stop led to the discovery of property stolen from residents at a nursing home, according to police. On Monday, police spotted a vehicle with false registration. When they stopped the car and spoke with the driver, they noted that the woman had several warrants out for her arrest.

Police later discovered that the woman was in possession of a stolen watch, bank card and a blank check. Upon further investigation, police learned the property belonged to two elderly residents whom the woman cared for as a nurse‚Äôs aide in a nursing home.  The nursing home employee is charged with multiple traffic offenses and receiving stolen property.
