Two Women Arrested After Beating Elderly Nursing Home Resident

Two women have been charged with aggravated battery after allegedly beating an elderly nursing home resident earlier this month. Police responded to the nursing home after a disturbance call to find the suspects in the parking lot. The two suspects were arrested from the nursing home after they assaulted and attempted to forcibly remove the elderly resident from the facility.

The 78-year-old victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The State's Attorney's office filed official charges against the women about a week after the incident. For more, read the story.
