Woman Arrested For Stabbing Nursing Home Resident to Death

Police released a picture from a security camera last week of a smiling woman leaving a nursing home where a resident had just been stabbed to death. Someone called in to Crime Stoppers with a tip, and the police department announced that the smiling woman from the security camera had been arrested and charged with murder. According to police, the 48-year-old has confessed to the May 7 stabbing.

The woman said she had been visiting another resident and then went to see the 66-year-old victim. Police noted that there were signs of a struggle at the crime scene. After getting the Crime Stoppers tip, police arrested the woman on unrelated warrants; she then confessed to her role in the nursing home resident's death. For more, read the story.
