Young Athletes Visit Elderly Nursing Home Residents to Sing Christmas Carols

Young athletes from baseball and softball teams recently visited elderly residents at nursing homes to sing them Christmas carols. Earlier this month, a nonprofit group launched the program for the softball and baseball teams. The program allowed the children to bring the gift of music to five different nursing homes.

A mother of three boys, ages 5-12, says she appreciates the opportunity for her children to give back to the community. They enjoy sharing their time to see the smiles on the nursing home residents' faces. They sang Christmas classics and some residents even sang along. For more, read the story.
